1. Chairman's Report

Al M thanked everyone for attending. He reviewed last season which was an excellent campaign for the 1’s with special mention to the organisation of Lee Taylor and Dave Gurney and Nick Evans for negotiating with the availability. The 2’s had a much harder season. After gaining promotion to the higher division the loss of 3-4 key players at the start of the season resulted in the side not being strong enough for the division.

Thanks went to the committee, John Hastings (President), Pieter Heyn (Hon Sec.), Adam Pierce (Hon Fixt Sec), Alex Harari (Hon Treas), Ben Copithorne (Newsletter), Matt Gibson (Web), Tim Kemp (League rep) and to the Captains and vice captains.

Looking towards next season it was hoped that both sides would ‘ move up a gear’ in terms of organisation, fitness and desire to win silverware. Two phases of the season were discussed, preseason and early January, both were crucial in deciding where the trophies will be won.

2. Hon Secretary's Report

PH confirmed that the 1’s had been entered into the Surrey senior cup as well as the Arthur Dunn Cup and the 2’s entered into the Surrey intermediate and Junior Dunn. It was agreed that the club will review their entry back into the AFA cup for next season’s competition. The club will also enter a 5 aside team in the Jim Dixson memorial cup at Charterhouse on Sunday 5 September.
